It is already common knowledge that every face is unique, many digital progressive lenses calculate individual parameters of interpupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt, face form angle and corneal vertex distance, to achieve significantly improved imaging properties by taking account of the real situation of wear.
Besides, some higher level progressive lenses are going more far on customizing. These products have the theory that each wearer has a unique lifestyle with different visual requirements. The lenses shall be produced for each wearer individually, taking into account the different tasks, which defines our unique lifestyle. The normal options of preference would be far, near and standard, which cover almost all specific occasions.
Now based on modern requirements due to:
● Usage of mobile devices and resulting changes in head positioning and body posture
● Frequent changes between distance and near vision as well as much shorter viewing distance < 30 cm
● Frame fashion with much larger shapes
For Lenses with the most innovative design for the most complex visual requirements:
● Optimization of the entire lens surface with global wavefront calculation of the surface with 30,000 measuring points
● Taking into account the correlation between the add values (addition), the approximate age of the customer and his/her expected remaining pupil adjustment
● Considering the distance-dependent pupil sizes at the certain areas of the lens
● Combined with the prescription (SPH / CYL / A) the algorithm finds an optimal correction which considers the variance of the pupil size and reduces the negative effects of average HOAs to ensure the best possible vision
What’s more, Master IV contains below new features:
● Near Comfort - for more natural vision by Listing’s law and calculated astigmatism consideration and standardized optimization.
● Maximum precision - for calculation of lenses to 1/100 dpt and maximum precision in 0.01 dpt or 0.12 dpt increments, thus bring additional benefits for wearers on Relaxation for the eyes, Increased well-being, High-precision visual experience, Less fatigue and Increased performance.
● Customized Addition - that Addition can be ordered in 1/8 dpt increments for example using Add 2.375 dpt when unsure on Add 2.25 dpt or 2.5 dpt to get Optimal vision at close range.
