Built on premium free-form custom manufacturing, this product delivers two synergistic myopia-slowing mechanisms: Multi-point peripheral defocus and patented P.L.T. technology for controlled retinal contrast reduction.
Childhood myopia has become a worldwide public-health challenge. Extended screen time and heavy near-work exposure expose young eyes to persistent high-contrast visual stimuli, which contribute to eye fatigue and accelerated axial eye-ball growth, driving myopia progression. Conventional myopia-control lenses mainly rely on peripheral defocus signals, while SmartEye II brings together two proven optical strategies into one single lens to achieve 1+1＞2 intervention performance.
Second, the proprietary P.L.T. technology applies 0.06-mm ultra-fine micro-scatter dots across the lens surface. These micro-structures softly modulate incoming light and moderately lower retinal imaging contrast, without compromising central visual sharpness. By mitigating over-intense high-contrast retinal stimulation, P.L.T helps suppress biological signals that trigger rapid eye-ball lengthening, adding a second protective layer for myopia management.
Manufactured in Universe / TR free-form lab, SmartEye II accepts full individual wearer parameters including monocular PD, pantoscopic tilt, frame geometry and prescription. Uniquely in this product category, the lens supports optional superimposed prism correction for latent phoria and weight-balance customization for anisometropia cases, a capability rarely available on mass-produced myopia-control lenses.
First, its enhanced multi-point defocus system consists of 1404 deep-profile micro-lenses. Compared with standard multi-focal myopia-control lenses, the micro-lens array generates stronger peripheral defocus signals projected in front of the retina, effectively offsetting peripheral hyperopic defocus and restraining excessive axial elongation.
The lens substrate is high-impact-resistant 1.591 PC polycarbonate material: lightweight for young wearers’ facial comfort, shatter-resistant for daily safety. The clear central viewing zone (7.61 mm for micro-lens area, 6 mm for micro-scatter region) delivers clear distance vision when correctly aligned with pupil position via accurate monocular PD and height measurement during ordering.
SmartEye II is protected by Chinese invention patent ZL 2025 1 1278003.6, with global patent filings covering Brazil, Russia, Canada, Europe and Indonesia.

Target Wearers: Myopic children & teenagers 8-18 years old, no active ocular disease, capable of full-time lens wear. Not suitable for manifest strabismus, amblyopia or colour-deficient subjects.
